Remembering Yaakov Kirschen (1938-2025)
This week, the Jewish cartoon world lost a legend. Yaakov Kirschen (1938–2025), creator of the beloved Dry Bones cartoon, left behind more than punchlines—he left a legacy inked into the heart of Jewish storytelling. His wit, warmth, and unwavering love for our people inspired generations… including cartoonists like me, who now stare at the pen he left behind and think, “No pressure, right?” This tribute was drawn with deep respect—and maybe a bit of trembling.
